Adopt a Beaver

Beaver facts:

Beavers inhabit areas near lakes, ponds, and streams with access to suitable food and building resources. Beavers feed mainly on the inner bark of trees, such as birch, aspen, beech, maple and willow. Summer offers a great variety of green vegetation on which to feed. Many are killed in areas where dam building is in discordance with human development. Introduced populations occur in some protected areas. Beavers have powerful jaws and chisel-sharp orange-colored incisor teeth that are ideal for biting through tree branches and gnawing.
