Adopt a Tarsier

Tarsier

Tarsiers can be found within tropical rainforests from Sumatra to the Philippines and Sulawesi. They eat mostly insects, but have been known to feed on lizards and small vertebrate animals such as birds. Tarsiers live in small groups of usually no more than four individuals. They have elongated bones in their feet allowing them greater jumping ability. Though they are rat-sized, they can jump four to six feet at a time. The tarsier’s amazing hearing and keen eyesight make it a very successful nocturnal hunter. These tiny mammals are at risk from habitat loss and hunting. Show More
