Adopt a Tenrec

Tenrec facts:

Greater hedgehog tenrecs live in the dry forests and eastern highlands of Madagascar. They feed on insects, earthworms, grasshoppers, mice and other small rodents. When threatened, hedgehogs defend themselves by rolling into a ball with spines pointing in all directions. Strictly nocturnal, adults are solitary creatures that generally avoid each another except when mating. Only found on the island of Madagascar, this species is susceptible to habitat loss and hunting.
