Adopt an Aye-Aye Lemur

Aye-Aye Lemur

Aye-ayes are endemic to Madagascar and are widely distributed across the island. They are solitary and nocturnal and spend most of their days sleeping in nests in the upper levels of the canopy. They have delicate and very specialized fingers and an opposable big toe that allows for descending trees headfirst. Aye-ayes have large naked ears that enhance their hearing. Individual ranges are marked by scent and by distinctive tooth marks in tree barks. Show More
