Moose inhabit aspen and willow thickets, spruce forests and swamps, preferably near bodies of water. A… moose diet consists of twigs, bark, roots and shoots of woody plants, particularly aspens and willows. In summer, moose graze on evergreen needles, and in warmer months will feed on water plants. Moose are excellent swimmers and are able to swim up to six miles an hour.
