Ringtails are about the size of a house cat, and although they resemble foxes, they are members of the raccoon family. Their behavioral and physical adaptations make them excellent climbers; they can maneuver along cliffs and ledges by bouncing from wall to wall and climb into small crevices by pressing all four feet on one wall and their back against another.
