Interesting Species Fact

Sloth babies begin tasting solid foods at around 10 days old but continue to nurse for about a month. Babies cling to their mother’s belly for five weeks, until they are strong enough to move on their own, eating what their mother eats. They first hang upside down on their own at 20 to 25 days old.
